Summary
The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of the cells of the immune system in the prevention of bacterial infection. The ultimate goal of this study is to understand why some people are more susceptible to bacterial infection and how they can be protected.
Participation: For this study we recruited 32 participants, 16 from two genotype groups matched for age and gender, from the Cambridge BioResource to give a single 50 ml blood sample.
